Life updates

Between moving from Japan to Kentucky (for a few weeks of family time) and then from Kentucky to Michigan, August was a jam-packed month. We moved into our apartment in Ann Arbor last week and already feel at home. And now that we have internet—as of today—it’s even better.

I’m sure this guy helps a lot, though:

Yep! We got a puppy!

Meet Link. We adopted Link from a Kentucky Animal Shelter after he was brought back by his first adopter. He’s a 3-month-old pug mix (not sure what the mix is, but we’re guessing beagle or boxer). He’s a great dog and we couldn’t be happier with the little guy. Two weeks into having him and he already is potty-trained, can do “sit,” “stay,” “drop it,” and “speak,” and even puts himself to bed at night in his crate.

Now that we are settled into our new home and J’s classes have started, I’m on the job hunt. I started looking for a personal training position yesterday and have applied at a few gyms around town. I had an interview yesterday, but didn’t get the job because of my lack of experience—but it might have got my foot in the door for an apprenticeship with that company. Fingers are crossed!
